i got a 2wd ranger. i need to replace the bezel in my truck and thought about how cool it would be to have switches that look like there stock rather then having stand out all over the cup holder.....
i got a ford explorer bezel that has a cig lighter, 4x4 switch rear wiper switch, fog light push button, and a back window defroster.....
i wanna turn the 4x4 switch into a true on off switch....hopping to use this or the rear wiper switch as my bass cut off switch... the problem is the 4x4 switch is run off resisters rather then independent circuits. the computer reads the amount of resists which tells it to switch it into 4x4 high and low or 2x4... has anyone ever done something like this before!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please help!!!!!!!!!!!! the push buttons are a little hard to figure out as well....

if you have wire diagrams please send them to me so i can figure this out....
