**Official Georgia Meet head Count**
#53
Hey guys I know this thread started here on RF, but this topic over on FRF is gaining steam too. Seems like we might just shut Hooter's down that Sat. Got quite a few from Al. trying to make the trip as well, so that being said if anybody from Alabama here wants to pm me or catch the thread over on FRF we are trying to get everyone to meet up and follow each other to Kennesaw.

alright i dont know if anyone goes on frf.. but there will be a convoy meet in ga.. Heres the info...
Ok, Ill make the post official where it belongs.
It has been asked where should those of us in Alabama meet up at to convoy over to Kennesaw...
My suggestion is that we meet up in Gadsden, it would be a pretty central location for those coming from northern Al. and a secondary route for those in the middle part of the state to keep from having to hit 20 then trying to fight Atl. traffic on 285.
As I've stated I lived in Ga pretty much all my life, so here is the route I'd take (just my .02).
From Gadsden I'd run HWY 278 over to Cedartown Ga and on to Rockmart. From Rockmart hit HWY 113 to Cartersville. Once in Cartersville you have two options, Interstate 75 or HWY 41. INT 75 gives no red lights, and keeping everyone together would be easier but you'd have to run pretty much wide open to keep from getting run over. Not knowing the condition of everyone's trucks, I'd opt for option 2.
Option 2: HWY 41 = direct shot to Kennesaw. Only problem here is red lights. Like I said it's a straight shot on 41, but if we have a long string of trucks the lights WILL seperate us. The other advantage to HWY 41 is that it's won't be as hard a drive on the trucks. Speeds on 41 USUALLY are contained to 65, and these spots are few versus 75 which is like the final 3 laps a Talladega all the time.
I'm not trying to ram this down anyone's throats as the final deal by no means, so if there are any other suggestions post'em up.

So it's looking that drive time will be almost 5 hours coming from huntsville. I'm thinking that maybe this should be more along the lines of a 2 day thing and stay at a motel at night. Otherwise the hang out time on sat would be like 2 hours. I'm not gonna drive a total of 8-10 hours just to hang out for 2 hours.
