OK I have a question. I have never been here before so keep that in mind.

I plan to leave my house around 4am Saturday and just be there early in the morn.I will be puttin the B2 on my trailer and using my dads truck to pull it up,to far to drive the B2. Do I just drive right to the dunes or do need to unload the B2 someplace else and just drive it there? Do they have a parking lot like the Mounds for trucks and trailers?

Since Im not camping over nite or getting a room at a motel I dont have anywhere I can leave the truck and trailer.

Please help me not look like a stupid noobie my first time!

 

You can drive straight to the dunes. The have a large parking lot once you pull in to park your trailer and unload. On saturdays you need to have a voucher in order to get into the dunes. Someone can pick one up for you the night before, PM if you need. The vouchers are for different entry times into the dunes. There is one for 8 to 9 am I believe that is meant for people with trailers. If your leaving at 4am I think that would be a pretty good one for you. and if I remember correct, you can go out on the dunes at 9am.

 

That would work good for me. Looks like I need to get some cell phone numbers for some of you guys! If anyone can get me a voucher for the early slot on Saturday I would gladly reward you!

 

Make sure you get a voucher that is for a trailer if you don't you will not be able to park in the lot at the dunes.

OH! If I go I have a Yakima Megawarrior roof rack for sale, awsome condition. Look it up in the classifieds from some time ago.
Also probably some explorer or sport trac rear sway bar disconnects from warrior products.

 

Your camping correct? If so you can park the Trailer and truck at the camp site and drive the B2 to the dunes. Its only about a mile from the campground.

i think they do another trip at the end of summer ? If so you should start saving your pennies and you wont have to wait a year!

 

Good call! Only like 250-300 bucks in gas, I could do that easily.

 

i would say have around 500 and you would be good. I really have no idea how much this is going to cost me.
