Myself and ShadowRanger08 are going to be meeting at my place this coming Saturday the 27th of February, to swap a bodylift from his truck onto mine, if anybody would be interested in coming out to help, work on their trucks, or just drop by and shoot the sh** you're more than welcome, address is 21 Colborne St. East, Lindsay Ontario, Just so you know I have a small garage that won't fit a ranger, so all work will be in my driveway but hopefully it will be good weather and a good chance for a meet n greet. I have a tiny house but will provide food for anybody that's interested in coming. Also Andrew (ShadowRanger08) has a crapload of stuff for sale and for anybody that's interested it may be a good chance to meet and swap some sh**. Check out his threads in the classifieds. Oh and Billy4x420 I expect you to at least drop by and say hi seeing as you're just down the street most weekends. Haha.
ahh good job nate, glad to see your gettin things rolling with the bodylift!!! count me in.. i probably wont be much help but ill defiantly show up for the moral support!! should be a good time... just let me know what time!
as for the skid.. ill get you some pics.. its more or less like a "regular" ranger front skid plate.. i dont know if you recall seeing mine or even like Josh's (HozII) they came on most FX4s and Lvl2s..
what other goodies are you snagging from shadowranger??
Nice Laz, that would be awesome! I'd definitely appreciate both you guys coming out. There will be a fair amount of work seeing as we are taking it off his and putting it on mine. One bodylift, and one un-bodylift. I did some of the prep work today, got a bit done but gave up because I have a massive hangover. It was my gfs birthday yesterday.
I believe Andrew is planning on showing up around 10-11 am, I will be starting to work as soon as I wake up. Whenever you guys make it is fine. I think I have all the tools we'll need, but it would be handy to have a couple different socket sets and such.
Other than the bodylift, I'm getting some L1224R tails off him, and possibly swapping rear bumpers, not sure yet, someone else may have dibs. I've already gotten 6000k HID heads and fogs off of him.
Sweet deal!! What do you drive to Lindsay for? Do you go to Fleming? Bring whatever you think we might need. I've got a basic socket kit, compressor and impact tools, hi-lift jack, torch, and bought a set of torx bits today.. I've got a 9/16" drill bit for drilling out the one bushing, but a 1/2" is what you're supposed to use, one of those would be handy. That's all I can think of that we need but bring what you can. I printed out the PA bodylift instructions.. between all of us we should be able to figure this out!!
Oh.. another jack may be useful. All I've got is my hi-lift, I broke my stock jack.
i don't wanna tell you guys what to do but would it be easier if you had two teams? a tear down team and a BL team working side by side. you guys would have it done pretty quick. both unbolting at the same time side by side and then just transfer it over and be one team and re-bolt.
well thats the plan, cos i don't have any stock hardware anymore, I was going to give him the bolts that came with the PA kit, and he was going to give me his stock ones in return, so we would be doing both at the same time.
I can bring my hi-lift and a floor jack too. I don't have an impact gun, I can bring my socket set too, if anyone has an impact two might be helpful...I think thats about it. I'll start prep work on my truck thursday since thats when my weekend starts. I gotta cut my front hitch off though so my bumper fits on again hah
Tomorrow is a go! Driveway might be a little bit damp but it's mostly clear right now. I've got plywood to lay on, you just might want some slush pants to stay dry. 10-11am at 21 Colborne St. East Lindsay. There's no obligation to come but sure would love the help!
well, made it back alright! the roads were pretty bad for a bit when i left your house and it was snowing good, but once I got closer to the 115 all was well. hit a few bumps and my cab didn't fall off! haha so looks good! good luck getting hte last couple things finished up. thanks a lot man. and tell your gf i said thanks for dinner! :P
