Central NC Early Summer Meet!

Finally getting something going now. We have the shelter 1 at Ebenzer reserved for Sunday May 23rd, all day.

I figure we'll start at 11AM until whenever everyone leaves. I will be there at 10AM since I live pretty close by so if anyone wants to come a little early feel free.

It does cost $5 to get into the park so make sure you have cash!!

Shelter 1 is all the way down Ebenezer Rd at the end of the parking lot. Just look for my truck, I should be there before everyone else.

There is a boat ramp right at that shelter so feel free to bring your boat, jet ski, etc, etc.

Driving Directions:

Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is located in Chatham County, 21 miles southwest of Raleigh off US 64, and can be reached via NC 751 or US 15-501 from Durham and Chapel Hill. Traveling west or east on I-40 from Raleigh, exit onto US 1/US 64 west (exit 293A Sanford/Asheboro). Take the US 64 exit (exit 98B) and travel west. The park office is on the left just before the bridge over Lake Jordan. Traveling east on I-40 from Greensboro, take exit 274, NC 751/Jordan Lake, go south on 751 and turn right onto US 64 to travel west to the park.

Or you can use Google Maps with this link:

Ebenezer Rd - Google Maps

http://ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/jord/main.php

Headcount:

Phill (Rapala)

Food & Drinks:

Grille - Scott
Burgers - Scott
Hot dogs
Chips - Phill
Drinks
Other little snack stuff
Desserts
Plates, napkins, utensils - Joey

Oh and no alcohol and doing stupid stuff, they're really strict down there about that.

Now we need to work out food and all that good stuff. Who can bring grilles? Do we want to have one person buy all the food and then everyone chip in once they get there or have each person responsible for bringing a little something?

trent, why don't you get a running list of attendees on your first post.

count me in + my gf
I think we should split up the food list so that one person doesn't have a large monetary burden up front...

I am, I had to run to lunch so just wanted to get the basic info up.

Feel free to post this on other sites, lets just keep the list of who all is coming the same. So just post the list of people every few days or something like that so we can keep everything updated.

Will do, theres 4 8 person picnic tables already there but a table for beside the grille or something like that might be good too.
