More Meets!
#26
The low regular membership and the fact we are all spread out is why no meets like SL or the like are happening. Silver lake isn't even a site thing anymore. There's only 2 memebr's that go that have rangers. Maybe next year only one.
Anyone is welcome to go to silver lake, we post here just because. the more the merrier and it is a great time contrary to what some might say. It's a yearly (sometimes semi yearly) trip that evolved into friends getting together.

If that's the case, keep me posted on some of the meets y'all have planned. I'd be interested for sure, just depending on when it is.

So if I understand correctly, a lot of the guys that used to be on here still meet at SL like they did when they were all on here and had Rangers, they just aren't on here and don't have Rangers lol

Last year it was Me, My91Ranger and Morris at Silver lakes. We went twice last year and We're planning on doing two again next year.
I will post relevant information when we decide on some dates, most likely in the spring we'll get our first date nailed down and decide the second one once everyone is there and we decide if we like ya.
Silver lakes is a fun time and If you ask any of the guys who have gone before, they'll say the trip is worth it.

I've hung out with guys from this forum, the other forum, and local Ranger guys. It's usually just small mini-meets though. Nothing like what used to be commonplace. I never had to drive far because I live a few minutes from the Ocala National Forest and everybody always wanted to meet here.

Yea mild trails, cookout, camping, whatever. It really depends on how many people we have and who wants to stay multiple days. Oh, and whether or not somebody is 4x4. lol. The last time I hit the trails there were three of us, and we were all 4x2. And my truck was useless to pull anybody out because I lost reverse about 15 minutes into the trip. lol.

Would be interested in going to one of your meets so I can get to know you folks. Id most likely be driving my Jeep with my son in his Ranger 4x4. That is if you guys allow vehicles other than Rangers to ride with you.

Just thinking aloud... Where would be a good place to go if we organized something like a Southeastern meet that included people like me, Justin, and the guys as far west as Texas if they wanted to come? Tennessee would probably be the most "central" state, but I don't know enough about where we could ride up there.

I'm not trying to leave the other guys out, I just need something to tie me over until I can make a SL trip lol
