Well Boys & Girls, I have to sadly say that I won't be able to attend this meet due to family sickness...........I was notified Thurs. that my Dad has "terminal cancer" in his right lung......it currently has 4 liters of cancerous fluid in it & the remainin part of it is collapsed. He goes in Mon. to see the surgeon that will insert a tube through his side into the lung to drain said fluid, it can only drain 1 1/2 liters per day, so he will be hospitalized for 3 days, while they drain the lung, they are gonna "glue" his lung open to keep it from collapsin (just what we've been told), he's in severe pain & they have given him pain meds. I did notice when we were down in March, that he would tell me somethin 2 or 3 times (not rememberin he had told me already), so I'm figurin its already makin it way to his brain. He told my lil' Brother that he was in pain while we were there, but hid it (VERY WELL I must say) from us. So we're plannin on goin down the week of the meet (my Wife has to request her vacation(s) at the first of the year (Wal-Mart), and they must be approved, and when they are, you are locked into it)....she was plannin on goin to PA to visit her Dad, but since this has come about, we'll be headin to FLA.

I've been prayin that "GOD's will be done & that Dad doesn't suffer", we aren't supposed to pray for death, so this is the best I can ask for, that he doesn't suffer! I pray that I get to see him before its time for him to go "HOME for eternity", but that is in GOD's hands!

sorry to hear tim....and yes thats all you can do is put it in Gods hands and whatever his will is, will be. him and your family are in our prayers and hope and pray everything works out for the best that it can!!

on a lighter note, the wife and myself will be there friday. if things are good in the bank we may be bringing 2 rangers.

well just found out i wont be coming...just got a new EXCELLENT job starting soon. so i wont be able to take the time off...i'll be working 1st shift but not sure on the days and with the devastation we've had here weds it could be long hrs. Please pray for everyone here in the southeast and the families that have lost everything and loved ones!! Also please check with your local charities. Items needed here are kids clothes from all ages, non perishables, and hygenial items.

 

is this meet still going to happen even with the price of gas?

 

yep some arnt going to be able to make it the ones coming from far away.. but a few of us will still be their.. its prob going to be a small meet this go around cause of the price of gas and every thing else

 

just wondering sombody said gas was going to be over 7 a gallon by the end of may if not more

 

Sorry I cant make it guys. close to $400 in just gas for the trip, its just not gonna happen...

 

understandable zach!! maybe we can ALL get together on the next go round.....really dont want this thing to die out. I really enjoy getting together and spending the time with the people on here!! weather or not you still have a ranger or not huhummm mike (trigger)....lol!!

 

good god i heard 5 nothing more.. and what gets me the price of oil is coming down but yet gas keeps going up.

dad hauls gas when the price drops at the terminals where he picks up at ,the gas stations dont buy but when it goes up they buy so they can charge more for what they already had like if gas is 3.00 and they buy if it drops to2.85 at the terminals they will not buy but when it goes to 3.15 they will and what they bought at 3.00 they can sell for 3.15

lol that sounds illegal as hell!! i thought stations wern't allowed to sell gas for more than what they paid for it? isnt that like inflation or monopoly like a ****!!!??? did you know that gas in bagdad right now is 75 cents a gal!! no wonder they all driver ferrari's and bently's and crap with a 200 something ft yacht all paid for!!
