Art from Independence
I plan on buying a new Ranger at the end of this year. I will primarily use it to haul fire wood and transport my wife, dog, and me with a shell camper for trips. Does the four cylinder with an automatic transmission have sufficient power for such trips. I really like the miles per gallon of the 4 cylinder but want enough power for commuting, hauling wood, and camping. 4 cylinders with manual transmissions are hard to find in the XLT extended cab version in southern California and as I am getting older the automatic might be the most practical for me. Responses to this inquiry will be most appreciated.
