new here from Orlando
Picked up a 92 ford ranger yesterday as a beater for my trips to and from the office. Not too overly familiar with the engine itself, but give me a few minutes and I'm sure I will have no problems.
5spd, 130k, 4 cylinder. $600..... can't complain. already modded since the photo on sunday, has rubberized bed liner, and dyed carpet. going to Dye the head liner this weekend.
Anywho, little about me I'm no newbie to the ford engines. I have a now 9 year old mazda 6s with a few mods. I've owned it since it had .1 miles on the dash, and now has 140k.
sponsored by Street Unit Performance, Sure MotorSports, and test car for GTspec, superchips, sniper tuning, 3Lduratec.com. I'm a moderator on both of the big mazda 6 boards and have done a ton of the DIY write ups on the boards. Very little I don't know about the late model 3Ls, specially the VVT units after all these years.
My brother also has a 03 mach1 with more than a few mods and was top of his class at UTI in the ford fact program. The wife used to have a modded to all hell SN95 mustang that she burned to the ground. She then moved to a CA18DET swapped S13, and now is rolling in a 6spd brembo G35 with a few mods.
We have a few family show cars as well and currently our 71 GMC Sprint drag car is in the middle of a heart transplant. 11 years of nitrous finally kicked a rod.... still managed a 12.80 pass with the motor throwing a rod @ the 1/8th mile.
Anywho, I'm a huge gear head and so is my wife and the rest of the family. Look forward to see what I can learn about my new little toy.

wife's G
Sprint
Grandpa's 6spd 454 vette
grandma's 57
mother in law's 1940 sedan (currently restoring it, I just finished doing all the wiring on the audio system)
That lift that the corvette is parked with is in grandpa's barn. Very nice to own a house a 4/10th of a mile from my house when I don't feel like working on jack stands.
