Greetings from the far south

Hi Guys,
I allways wondered if the south american models (i am living in Montevideo, Uruguay) are exactly like the US ones, currently i am on my 2nd ranger and quite happy with it!

Previous ranger: 2000 2WD XLT 2.5L Diesel Maxion EuroII engine
current one: 2007 2WD XLT 2.8 MWM Diesel Powerstroke engine

Regards
Mauro

i hope you have an idea, on how JEALOUS each of us are, that you have a powerstroke in your ranger. that thing looks sweet!

Steven,
mind to explain me your jealousy? no diesel engines available AT ALL in the US on Rangers? in fact. we don't have any gas engines available on the whole region (i am counting 3 countries here) JUST diesel ones
Newest model around here is a 3.0 TGV Powerstroke Diesel, for the record TGV is Variable Geometry Turbo ...

Regards,
Mauro

Hi Matt,
It certainly handles speed and load quite well, it's an amazingly powerful engine at relatively lower RPMs (i do 86 MPH at 2000 RPM)

Mauro

femur, we have no deisels in any Ranger models in the U.S. we have the 2.5, the 3.0, and the 4.0. or a 5.0 if you feel like chugging gas everyday :) but to answer your question, NO! we dont. and we wish we did!

Welcome aboard.

The pics remind of the Sport-Tracs.
