hey, all.
hey, everyone. my name is josh, and i just moved back home to clearwater, fl. i've been in kansas city for the last six years. i'm still rockin the same truck that i've had for the last 12 years or so. it's a 91 ford ranger xlt std cab long bed. about nine years ago, i swapped in a 2.3 turbo after my original motor took a ****. kept it stock for several years before doing anything serious with it. for a long time, all that i had was more boost, more timing, and some race fuel. that was good for an 8.9 @ 79mph in the 1/8. not fast, but definitely quick enough to hurt some peoples egos. lol.
about a year after moving out to kc, i grew tired of popping head gaskets left and right, so i figured it was time to pull the motor and build the crap out of it. over the course of the next year or so, i put a TON of money into this thing. there's very little left stock in the engine bay now. when i got the motor back in, and fired it up, it had some issues. life got in the way, and the truck took the back burner. basically, it's sat in my garage for the last four years. now that i'm back home, i've got the help of a good friend of mine (who is a wizard with these 2.3t's), and he's been able to shed some light on the issues with the motor. hopefully, she'll be wrapped up within a couple weeks. i'm trying to make it my christmas gift to myself. lol.
anyhow, just thought i'd introduce myself, and give a quick history of my truck. i'm really looking forward to finishing it up, and getting it back out on the streets.
