Here ya go, some similar threads about your same problem. But, to save you some reading, they all say the same thing. WD-40 in your door latches and shut the door a few times, it should fix it. Fixed everybody elses issue with the door ajar problem.

This thread shows you how to get to the wire that controls the switch.

Welcome to RF Aly.
I was thinking the same thing.

Now look at me, fanning the flame.

If it helps I didn't realize OP was a girl when I joined the thread, I just noticed a "Hello" thread with 4 pages and figured something good was going on in here LOL.

The last girl that put up a welcome thread flipped the hell out because there were no other girls on the forum. She disappeared after that little debauchery.

try the WD-40 trick as mentioned, it seems to work well.

Welcome to RF. Some of the guys cant seem to contain themselves. If you have issues bring it to the attention of an admin or mod. Enjoy your time on RF!

Words can't do justice to how helpful this was. This has been killing me since I bought my truck, and I never thought of searching it on here.

Welcome Aly!
