Hey guys, last year i bought a 2004 Ranger Edge with the 4.0 V6.

I am slowly customizing it, as I am a student (which means im broke).

So any ideas are helpful, and if anyone know of good places to buy cheap parts too!!!!

Much appreciated

I'm a student as well at Arkansas Tech University. I have a 2002 edge. My advice would be to take the ugly *** edge stickers off and maybe pinstripe it. I've cranked my torsion bars up and have went with 31x10.50r15 tires. You can go down to autozone and pick up a cold air filter and chrome intake bar to fashion your own intake system. I've done this on my 3.0L so I really don't know how the engine is laid out in a 4.0l. I had to trim the corners of the fan blade so the fan wouldn't hit the intake tube. I've also painted my wheels black. I did this by using zinc chromate as the primer before the paint. Zinc chromate is a very good primer and it also allows for priming chrome wheels and it can be found at most boat dealerships. Just remember to scuff the surface you are painting first. As far as cheap parts, just remember that you get what you pay for most of the time, anyway. This is my two cents, anyhow. Good luck. Remember to take before and after pics, cause I wish I had done this (lesson learned).
