Delurking from OH
Long-time lurker from SW OH finally registering here.
My ride:
I'm gonna repack them again this fall when I do the ball joints. Just gotta scrape up the cash for parts + alignment and two tires. Front ones were new last year due to a double flat, and now the back ones are too bald for another Midwest winter.
My ride:
'00 Ranger XLT 4.0 L auto 4x2 in gold
Mods:soft tonneau top on the bed (I added)
vent visors and bugshield (came with it)
Props to n3elz if you are still around for an excellent write-up on 4x2 front wheel bearing replacement on 12/19/04. I did mine last summer and have been rolling good ever since. vent visors and bugshield (came with it)

At work, there's a red and silver Ranger in the parking lot. Every couple of days we end up parked next to each other so it looks like we have this goofy little truck fleet in the middle of a bunch of cars. Then the guy with the Toyota crew cab shows up and spoils the fun.
I'm leaving the height stock, but I need new leaf springs soon. Hauling a cubic yard o dirt home for the wife's garden last week had the stock mudflaps dragging on the ground with half a tank of fuel.
I'm a weekend warrior so the pickup bed sees dirt here, mulch there, roof shingles for the garage last year, driveway sealant last month, new boards for the deck next spring, etc. The previous occupants of our house let a lot of basic maintenance stuff undone (28" trees growing in the gutter! ). I don't call them owners precisely for this reason, but that's a rant for another time. Once the paint starts looking pretty shabby in the truck bed, I want to get a roll-on type liner installed to spruce it back up.
I definitely want to get a hitch for some added weight in the slop we call winter around here. That and I can drag home the bigger toys, I mean tools, from the rental center for the home repair stuff.
