newbie here.. just bought a '99 ranger

hi. i just bought a '99 ranger to use for work and to carry stuff around in... i paid $2k for it.
its a XLT extended cab with the 3.0 v6. auto trans, 2wd. it has the power windows, power locks and cruise. it was never used as a work truck. its pretty clean inside and out but its got high miles (200k) because the PO used it as a commuter car.. they are freeway miles though. anything i should look out for at this mileage? i am currently dealing with an issue where the coolant expansion tank cap keeps popping off and coolant coming out.. the thermostat was changed before recently but i am going to put another one in.. what else could it be? waterpump? is the 3.0 V6 a good motor?

the truck didnt come with foglights, or a sliding rear window. i would like to add foglights.. what years would work? '98 to what? i found a '03 ranger "EDGE" in a junkyard. what parts off this will work on my '99? i like the rubber floormats and seats in it.. will they work in my ranger? the '03 "EDGE" also has a 6disc indash factory radio.. will this work in my '99?

i did take the rear sliding window from the '03 "EDGE" and will be putting it in my '99. any tips?

my '99 unfortunately did not have the suicide doors.. was this even an option in '99?

also my taillights are the ones w/ orange in them. i really like the look of the newer taillights without the orange.. will they interchange?

wow..sorry about all the questions.. LOL i am new to this, so dont be too hard on me here..

You'd have to get a new valance for the fogs. 98-up will work, as long as you grab the valance and bumper and lights with wire pigtails. The edge will work, lots of guys like the newer bumpers. Floormat and seats will work as long as its the same cab that you have. 6disc should pop in and work fine, but i'm not 100% positive on that

It unbolts, and bolt the new one on. I think there is a how-to about doing it somewhere on the site.

It was, but don't plan on it being a bolt on swap, lol. Too much trouble with a new cab or section welded onto yours...

Yes. You have the three bulb taillights right? The newer ones are two bulb. You'll need to re-wire or grab the taillight wire-harness off a truck. They bolt right in.

Its cool, don't forget about searching. Its useful to go through threads and read as much as you can.
