hey guys i got my ranger about 5 months ago and it runs perfect but iv always wantyed to strait axle it i got a buddy who has a dana 44 rear and front axle it comes with coils stearing arms everything to complete the strait axle it came off his 2000 dodge ram 1500 would it fit my ranger

dodge went do drivers side drop in the 90's so it could be made to work... but the long side tube has a disconnect as well as a 2 piece shaft. some people could live with that but others would retube it and throw in a single shaft. they run unit bearings instead of spindles so no lockouts. and a spin tec is over a grand. it could be made to work if your not concerned with these things but id rather find a late 70's ford d44.
by the sounds of it you plan on running the dodge links and coils. the coils would be too heavy for a ranger and a 4 link is hard to setup because of the limited space. with the ford d44 you could just run leafs and throw on a track bar for road manners. much easier to set up than a link type suspension and fine for MOST wheeling
