Dave the newbie from TN
Greetings from TN, I have a friend who has an 82 Ranger with a 302 transplant, it runs for approx 10 mins then dies abruptly. The swap appears to have been done right, however there remains this issue of the stalling out. The engine is carb'd w/edelbrock intake and carb, the ignition is coil w/distributor. There is a little square module on the drivers fender wired in to the ignition system, I am unfamiliar w/this component and it's function. We have replaced both the module and the coil. When this thing dies, we noticed that current to the coil is interrupted, has anyone experienced these symptoms? If so, what did you find to be the solution? We have attempted to trace the origin of the voltage drop, but to date have been unable to isolate the source.
