I live in SE Iowa, am semi-retired, and have 2 Ranger XLT SC's. #1 is a 2000 that I have had since new, and it currently has a little over 347,000 miles on it. It has been nearly trouble free, the farthest the powertrain has been into is 1 new valve cover gasket. Exhaust, U loints, and 3 of the wheel bearings are the ones it left the factory with. Ranger #2 is a 2001XLT SC 4WD with 46000 miles on it. It has never been in the salt we use profusely in this area, and I store it in the winter. Both are 4.0's w/5 speed automatic transmissions, and both have limited slip diffs. The 2001 has dual leather power seats and "Off-Road" package. I hate to see the production of the Ranger end.
