new to auto repair..
Hello to everyone!
been lurking and learning from y'all for about 6 months now, I have saved probably $1000 or more from the information I found.
wanted to extend my thanks & gratitude, I honestly do appreciate the contributions made here.
My rig is a white 2001 XLT Off Road 4.0L..I got her almost new (15k miles), and put her to work servicing my pest control customers.
I have since retired, and the old girl has about 110k miles on her now..I was at the point of either fixing her up or trading her in.
You can probably guess what my decision was..
So anyway, in the last 6 months..
she has new shocks, new pads, I did the fog light mod, sanded and painted what i could on the frame & under body, painted the plastic on the bumper & grill, plasti-dipped all the chrome & badges, and a few other basic repairs/modifications.
drum brakes are purchased and ready for this weekend.
Its running good and looking good, and from a guy that hasn't turned a wrench since high school..quite an accomplishment.
All I have right now is "before" picture.. I'll try and get some better pics in the future.
Again, I want to thank you all- and I am hoping to be a useful contributor moving forward.
