Hello everyone

Hello everyone, Rodney here I am new to the forum. I have a 1998 reg cab stepside ranger, I bought it because i needed a truck and with the gas prices I didn't want to go fullsize, its pretty nice but needs a few bugs worked out, thats where all my new friends in the forum will come in handy because i'm sure i will have lots of questions and hope I can help out with a few answers as well.

Thanks 98xlt

Well the first problem is the back of my headliner is getting wet when it rains i took the 3rd brake light off and ran a good bead of silicone where the light goes on the cab and put it back on but still getting wet anyone with any suggestions? The seal on the slider all looks good if its leaking i don't see anywhere it could be.

Welcome!

Go to a car wash and see if you can tell where it's leaking at.

put some silicone on the lens and housing too.

a buddy of mine has a 97 std cab and burned out his 3rd brake light, and was going to replace it until i warned him about leaks ... so it remains burned out haha

Ok the lens itself might be leaking, i was more concerned with the gasket where it mounted to the truck. i need to get it figured out before it ruins the headliner.
