Howdy from BC Canada

Another one of the bc4x4 boys

Currently running an '09 FX4 Ranger - 4.0L auto 4x4 on 31x10.5/15 BFG KM2s & 15x7" AR767s, airbags in the rear and 1" torsion bar crank in the front, 1 CFM 12v Firestone compressor w/ 0.5gal tank with tire chuck, receiver hitches for the M8000 winch on the front and rear (and power cables), leather interior, 6 disc CD Audiophile stereo and Sirius sat radio, D34/78 yellowtop Optima, 31 spline 8.8 w/ Torsen & 4.10s, 750w inverter, Icom 2100H HAM VHF, Cobra 18 CB, Garmin Nuvi 255w GPS w/ Western Canada Tops, lots of mapbooks and topos, rear jumpseats removed for extra storage, built purely for camping (and work). Pretty friggin' cool for a daily driver eh! Getting around 15 mpg in its current state (16 gal per 250 miles approx/60L per 400km), which ain't bad considering it weighs about 6000 lbs, 7500 lbs with ATV/trailer (drops to 11-12 mpg @ 50-55 mph).

Got a 1972 6' import camper on the back - 8500 btu propane furnace, 3 way Dometic fridge (I run it on 120v), 34" wide bed, TONS of storage space, Exide purple haze deep cycle battery, 3 burner stove, 1100w microwave, 2000w Honeywell inverter generator, Stihl 180 chainsaw and my good ol' trusty fold-up camp chair. Roof's been sealed in with Ducan rubberized deck coating.

It [very begrudgingly] pulls my '07 Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI EPS on a 7.5' snowbear customized utility trailer - 3/4" treated plywood lined walls, 205/14 tires, LED taillights. Yup, thats it. I live in it for usually 3 or 4 days at a time at work, vacation/sick relief guy at work so my shifts get downright chaotic. Makes my life a lot simpler and easier being able to keep a flexible schedule/lifestyle, and the company I work for treats me like gold so its worth it. Enjoy:

Damn, that is sweet. Slight lift and lock it, and that thing looks like it'll go, and camp, anywhere. Love it!

Ohh yeah, welcome!

Nope, not no more! Quit long haul last year, now a union slave for Seaspan/WMG. Running hostler truck for them, a year now. Been happy, nice making decent money doing sweet F all Sure beats working for a living! Only drag is that the hours suck, and we're a 24/7 operation so I'm on call 5 days a week and work solid throughout the weekends. Going back full time next week, 5am - 1 pm and I like that shift so I'm happy with that. Cheers

Gotta say i love that camper on the truck. Hows the ride with it?? I work at a rv shop, don't really see a lot of import campers, lots of the full size ones. Used to have one on a sonoma before, i think a bit too heavy and didn't know anything about campers either than.

Could be. All I know is that I bought it from Micheal (230 on bc4x4) in Princeton, and apparently he bought it from a guy in Penticton IIRC. It very well might have come up from the coast, who knows. I like it though... but if I find a 13 - 14' Boler-style trailer I might put it up for sale. LR
