New member, old Ranger...well, old-er
Hi all, new to this forum. Following protocol and introducing myself.
Recently purchased 1995 Ranger XLT Supercab, 4.0, 4x4. 179,000 miles.
Paid $1900 for a straight and clean (interior) truck. Quite surprised at the cost of liability only insurance for this truck.
Parts needed/wanted (initially):
Left headlight and turn/corner light
Driver seat (grey cloth/ velour like), with electric air lumbar support
Front drive shaft (rusted pretty bad)
Left exhaust manifold (rusted but whole)
EGR valve and tube (rusted, could be a b**ch to replace) PA emissions
Trans could use a little TLC. It drives pretty well. A little rough shifting either in the trans or maybe just a little slop in the rear end.
The last guy and his brother owned this truck and it appears that they had a little pride in keeping the interior clean.
There are some rusted parts in the engine bay, mainly the drivers side. Steering shaft, EGR, exh manifold, showing signs on the brake booster.
I am mechanically inclined, grew up in garages with dad, many minor to moderate repairs under my belt on many different vehicles and a couple engine rebuilds, manual trans rebuild, but only installed one shift kit in a 700R4 Chevy. This 4R55E could be next.
Hints, cheats, suggestions, videos, and repair manuals welcome.
Thanks,
McKG

With all that information I posted and you still can't read my mind???? JK, JK!
And it's an automa...wait a minute...I did post that it is a 4R55E trans. Well, it is a little vague now that I reread what I wrote.
Thanks for the welcome! I will be looking for lots of useful information here.
