Bonjour from Louisiana
I just joined the forum yesterday because it's so much larger than the other Ranger forum of which I am a member. However, I probably won't be around much because of the extreme photo size restrictions. I was able to create an avatar and a garage (gallery) of both my vehicles very simply in that smaller forum. I was unable to do either of those things here. I know you're not going to change the forum rules for one person, but I wonder how many other people lose interest and don't come back because they can't post pictures without severely limiting their size. And I have to wonder how that tiny forum gets around this problem - I assume it's the large number of [members X storage].

Thanks for the quick reply, Taylor - a reply might have taken days in that smaller forum - that's why I joined your much larger forum. I was actually surprised at the picture limitations here. I was easily able to create garage/galleries of both my vehicles in the Azera and the other Ranger forum. They either had looser restrictions, or they re-sized my pics as I uploaded them. I noticed that your site also re-sizes where possible, but my pics are about triple your max. Anyway, I look forward to all the info I'm going to learn on your site.
Thanks for listening - that's a VERY good sign,
Mark

Can you give me some more details about the size limitations you are having issues with? Where, and exactly what it is you don't like?
We want to keep you coming back and value your opinion. Please bare with us and we'll do our best to make accommodations as we see fit. You're welcome to PM a staff member at any time as well.
Welcome to the forum, we hope we'll see you around for a long time to come.

Sorry, guys - didn't mean to be a critic aka pain - I just thought maybe other guys were thinking like me, that having to re-size pics is a pain, and maybe they're holding back also.
If memory serves, the pic size limit is 1000 x 1000 or max 1 MB.
Most of my pics from my iPhone are about 2500 x 3200 or approx 3 MB.
I only get a vBulletin message saying upload failed - I've attempted 4 or 5 times, even different days - I'm assuming oversized pics.
I'm thinking that a lot of Ranger lovers are older guys like me, who don't want to deal with manually re-sizing each pic before posting. I am a very savvy 61 year old, with a Win8 touch pc and iEverything (pad, pod, phone, Mac, even AppleTV), but I still don't want to deal with re-sizing every pic in 2013, when I didn't have to do so in any other car forum I've been a member (Miata, Corvette, Azera, other Ranger). I'll just explore your forum for info and opinion and pics, but don't care to "show off" any pics of Sport at this time. Maybe when I have one of those rare moments when I'm not so lazy, I'll re-size a few and post them, especially my new red and black Katzkin leather seats. But I work 12-hour shifts, so .......
Thanks for putting up with me LOL,
Mark

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I realize now I "introduced" myself to the Forum by going straight into critic mode, so let me introduce myself (and Sport) to the forum this way:
Several months ago, I was in Lowe's, when I came across a "too good to leave behind" deal on a cordless mower. I've always wanted one to fill in between my professional mowings (Walter's crew comes every other Monday), but they were always too expensive, or too big, or both. This one was a small 17" cut and very deluxe, for only $349 on sale for $299. It was already assembled with the other mowers, so I asked how many there were. The lady came back to say it was the only one, but her manager said she could sell it for $249 if I bought it that day. I also had a $25 card Lowe's mailed me, so final price was $224 (too good a deal to leave behind, right?). Too stubborn to call for help from my MANY friends with trucks, I wanted to do it myself. Thank God I wasn't in my 2008 Miata - I was in my 2012 Azera with a huge trunk. Surely, with the seats down, and the handle folded, this will fit. Hidden amp under back shelf was huge, so didn't quite fit. Ended up folding down both back seats, placing mower across the hard plastic backs, and the folded handle out the rear window, looking like "country comes to town, Louisiana style". Got home with no damage to new mower, or 6 month old $40k car. Said to myself, "this. can. never. happen. again"
Sooo, I started looking for an old pickup so I wouldn't lose my Miata, or something special enough to make me trade my little black retractable roadster. Wanted something with low mileage, so old hooptie was out. Came across black shiny 2011 Ranger Sport, only 19k miles, loaded, lifted, with 20" chrome rims, and fell in love. So that's how my little black sports car became a little black sports truck.
Since "Sport" came home, I've done a few things to fancy him up even more. The red block letters SPORT made me want more red, so striping was next, then tint, then bed mat, then red Ford oval stickers for grill and tailgate and steering wheel, then started looking to improve the interior. I didn't care for the light gray cloth seats, so I went looking for red (you probably guessed that), and ended up with red and black Katzkin leather. It's beautiful, and I will prove that soon LOL.
So that's my Ranger story. I no longer have to ask for help to haul something home, and I promise to no longer use my Azera as a truck. I am Mark, from Lake Charles, LA - a 61yo chem labtech - a computer geek that "refuses" to re-size my Ranger pics so you'll have to wait with antici--------pation to see my Katzkins LOL.

Welcome. Post pics on here of that truck. You have to host from photobucket or a similar site then click on the little yellow square above this reply box of the mountain and sun. Then insert the image code that you cut and pasted from the host site.
It's simple and I'm not trying to insult you or your inteligence I'm just trying to be helpful.

Changed my mind, and created an album at Snapfish:

I'll create a direct gallery at a later date if/when possible.

Ps Let me know if this doesn't work - works for me.
