Newbie in South Dakota
This is the second Ranger I've owned. The first one was an 88 which I traded in on a 99 Explorer Sport. My new to me Ranger is a 98 XLT 4 banger which is stock other than the 15 inch wheels and tires I put on right after I bought it. I like the style of the 14 inch wheels but they were just too small. I've also made the air box mod as I was having a lot of problems keeping the truck up to speed on the hi-way even after replacing the plugs. I know some of you think it's a waste of time but it made a lot of difference on my truck.
I've been all over this site looking for ideas and mods I can make to my truck and the don't do this to a Ranger thread gave me a good laugh as did the pictures of some of the current members trucks. Some of these should be in there also but I'll let y'all wonder about that one.
I'm an old hot rodder from the late 60's and early 70's and had a 14 second quarter mile VW bug which I built myself, but the "computerated" cars and trucks make it more difficult to mod as I just don't know enough about them to know what you can and can't do. Sites like this make it much easier to work on a vehicle so be nice to us old guys because we need more help than you can imagine.
