New Member but Not new to Ford Rangers
Greetings. Joined to get more tech. advice on my Ford Ranger. Years ago, I owned a 83 Ranger Shortbox, 4x4. Drove that until it blew up and replaced the motor.
Years later, I purchased a used 98 Ranger "Splash" short box, 5 speed manual 2.3 4 cyl. Great rig... great MPG. Great buy. Sold it to my son.
More recently I upgraded to a 02 Ranger XLT Stepside 4.0 4x4, 4 Dr. Great buy, but that thing is hard on gas! Not impressed with initial MPG (14? in-town). Got a deal on it and it's solid, so I'll keep it.
Take care.
