Newbie from Iowa........
Just want to say hello. I have been reading alot of posts here since I purchased my 2000 Ranger. The main reason I found this site is from searching on "lifts" and I found here to give me the best information I needed on doing a body lift. I have been wrenching for over 25 years now but have never tackled something like this before, so I sought out some info before starting. I own plenty of Chevies but will only buy Ford trucks. So about 4 months ago I came across a steal of a deal on this 2000 ranger 1 owner truck that has never been anywhere for service except the dealer. Every part on it is still Motorcraft. This guy was **** about its upkeep and only took it to the dealer he bought it from when it was new. This truck is sweet. I am not a small truck guy but I could not pass up this deal. The truck is 100% stock with 148,000 miles on the odo......... Untill 2 days ago!!! I made the plunge and did the 3"body lift with the help of my best friend and a set of Cooper STT's 285/75/16's for new rubber on the stock rims. Here is a pic.
I am hoping this thing will do me well for some years to come.
