I have a 2002 2wd Edge. I just moved back to NJ from CA. The truck is lifted 3 inches up front and has a 3 inch BL. The rear suspension is stock and its sitting on 35's. The second picture is what happened yesterday on my way to the gym.

yeah the whole tire, rim, rotor and caliper came off. A combo of wheel bearing and spindle breaking were the cause. Almost rolled it but managed to keep it shinny side up

glad to hear you kept it upright. i've never seen a spindle break, can you snap a picture of that?

I'll take a pic tomorrow. The part that broke was the spindle pin that goes through the hub where the bearings are. Im assuming the bearing went which then locked up because you can see where the spindle pin got hot and discolored and from the heat the pin snapped. That then sent my whole wheel and rotor rocketing across the highway
