Hello Ranger fans,
I'm Alan Broom here in central AL. I have a 1991 Ranger LWB, 2.3 5spd. Had just put a paint job on it last October (1978 ford blue with a white cab) and the motor over heated in a bad way....So, I've bought an ATK long block to put in it. I'm here looking for tips, advice or anything I need to watch for during the swap. I'm a long time shade tree mechanic having rebuilt a few old Ford v8s, chevys, Harleys, Hondas, VWs, transmissions, etc...
My ford history goes way back and I run a new F150 everyday. Got to fix the Ranger for some gas savings. I am going to post in the wrench forums on the motor change.
