Bought a 93 Ranger XLT 4X4 Extended Cab with 90k miles from an older guy last year and have loved it. First Ranger, first pick up and it's been good. I do a bit of wheeling and have owned 2 Cherokees and a 4Runner with a diff lock and I hafta say I'm pretty impressed with the of road capabilities of my Ranger. The Twin I-Beam suspension gives almost enough flex, but I'd prefer the solid front axle (twin I-Beam rides rough anyway).
I work on cars (Interior Trim Repair - minor cosmetic repair on leather seats, door panels, dashes, etc) and put a lot of miles on the truck running around the greater Denver area to shops/customer homes, etc. It's now the work truck as well as my off roader on occasion. I'd like to keep it mostly stock for ride, ease of use of bed, and theft prevention, but there are certainly some things I'd like to do to it. I wheeled it today and scraped my rocker panel on the same place where I just fixed the paint from scraping it last time I was up. Definitely want to make some sliders. Also want to put in a locker. Toying with the idea of a supercharger or some way to improve power and mileage (used to my perky Honda Accord - much better passing power). Feel free to point me to threads regarding these issues. In the mean time I'll be looking.
