old ranger guy
Hi there My name is Art from Ont. Canada. I have owned several rangers over the years and now drive a 2011 2wd automitic. At 40,000 km I took it in for an oil change And the local ford dealer said that I required additional service to the tune of an extra $450.00. This was to rotate the tires, clean the injectors do a wheel alignment and repack the wheel bearings.I declined and have rotated the tires myself, there is no indication of wheels out of alignment,I use fuel stabilizer to combat the negative effect of ethanol and I read that the wheel bearings are not repackable. Ford Canada contacted me to receive any comments on my recent service and I questioned what kind of crap they were using for wheel bearings these days -no comment.
I use my truck for occasionally haul my motorcycles and it's good to know that they havent gotten to complicated to work on yourself.
