Well, I dont know about going to a mud fest, but I do like crawling and some mudding is alright. Ever hear of SMORR? Southwest MO Off Road Ranch in Seymour MO. 900 + acres of level 1 thru 5 trails, mud pit, dirt jumping ramps, great scenery. I am throwing a meet in July there. There was 50 of us last year. We spend 3 days camping, BBQ, Day & Night wheeling, and even have a band play on Sat night in a nice big Pavilion. Good times had by all.

After pulling the hitch pin, you simply remove the bolt, then strap the swaybar in the up position to the frame rail with a bungee or a ziptie. Voila!

Thanks for the compliment.

Our 1st annual run @ SMORR was held at the end of May last year. This year we are having to move it back to July, because it conflicted with another run we make to Moab(spring run) in May. Our annual run to Ouray (fall run ) is at the end of Sept. So SMORR(summer run) needs to fall in between those two runs.

Set up thread:
Spring wheeling trip at SMORR - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts "Serious Explorations"®

Return thread:
Return from SMORR - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts "Serious Explorations"®

Lots of good pictures in the return thread. We had a couple of Rangers with us and they did great! All is welcome to join us on this meet. It is a private pay -per- day park, cheap camping, has the nicest shower house I have ever seen for a park, they cook great meals all day & night, have a friendly staff, and some nice trails.

That is just a matter of opinion. I camp for a week over the 4th of July holiday, no probs with that in MO.

I imagine the peeps that are not planning on going to the Moab run are still wanting to go to SMORR in May, so who knows whats going to happen next year. I guess if members here want to join,(which I hope they do since it is not an actual EF sponsored meet) they will just have to stay tuned for the actual dates.

Been doing some thinking lately about this rig.

I was going to go SAS with it. Looks like it is getting the coil overs and the t-bars removed after all.

Saving up for everything now, and should have it swapped over by spring.

The 4405 is getting replaced with a 1354 manual T-case very soon. I am on 4405 #-3.

Looking at some more under carriage armor as well. Beefed up T-case skid, rear diff skid, and a total custom swivel set of front mount skids for the rear leafs.

Last thing this winter to make is a custom spare tire mount for the inside rear cargo area.
This can also be used in the back of a ranger bed. It will be adjustable for diff widths of tires and offset of wheels from a 9" to a 13" tire width. Incorporating a front wheel hub/spindle to a 2.5"X2.5" tube to hold wheel with stock lugs. This will go through a receiving tube welded to a 8"x8"x1/4" plate that goes through the body/bed. I will get some pics up after it is finished & installed. OH, powder coated as well.

Hey guys what do you think of this mod I made for carrying my spare tire INSIDE the rear cargo?

The kit I made. tire holder is .250 wall tube & plate. The mounting plate and support brackets are .175.

Size: 99.5 KB

The receiver mounted to the floor with support brackets:

The wheel is bolted to my spare 2nd gen hub that is bolted to the plate.

This is fully removable, and is adjustable for diff tire sizes by adding holes in the 2" tube.
Once removed it has a rubber end cap that plugs the hole, and thats all you see of it.
