I just purchased a 1986 Ranger XLT about a week ago. After a lot of searching for various Ranger related things, I kept coming across results pointing to Ranger Forums. So I decided I'd give it a shot.

I was just looking for a truck for hauling stuff around town, fishing, hunting, camping and similar things. It's not pretty, but it works. About 53k on a rebuilt 2.9L. It has a 3" BL and I just put some barely used 33/12.5/15 Cooper Discoverers on to replace the very low tread 33s that were on there. I'm looking for a cheap canopy so I can put the dogs in back rather than in the back of the cab.

The truck has a few minor issues, such as a wiring mess from when someone tried to steal the stereo before I bought it. A leaky driver's side rear axle, getting fixed tomorrow. And the bumpers weren't moved with the body lift so it just looks off. I'll probably get or make some custom ones anyway.

Also, I was crawling around underneath measuring some things and happened to notice some blocks on the rear suspension. I thought it was sitting a little high for just a 3" body lift. It looks like it has a 4" suspension lift as well.
