Hoping to get pointed in the right direction!

Hello! I'm James and proudly own a 2007 Ford Ranger 4x2 2.3 that has taken a beating and gotten me everywhere I've needed to go.

One thing missing after years of owning this bad boy is a Camper Shell. I have always been wanting to buy but have absolutely no clue where to start as navigating all the websites Google throws at me is so confusing.

I would greatly appreciate all the help yall could provide me with. Thanks so much and if you need more info just let me know. Can't wait to be more involved on the forums.

(Oh and bed size is 72")

Welcome to the forum

Good news is 1993 to 2011 Rangers all used the same bed size, 6ft/72inch, regular cab or extended cab used the same 6ft bed
So used options are around

Only exceptions were Step side beds, narrower, and Long Bed 7ft bed
2007 only had regular bed, no step side

There are different type of "shells" for different uses
Aluminum are lighter but noisy in the rain and colder if you plan on sleeping in the back
Fiberglas are heavier and quieter in the rain, and tend to "look better", can be color matched

If you have a slider window in your Ranger then you may want a slider in the shell as well
Side windows can be there or not, up to you
And side window or panel can be hinged so you can access shell from either side, good for accessing tools or ???

Brownsville, Texas is a good sized city so there should be a few places that sell new canopies, and some used ones around as well
I would check out the new ones first and get some prices on what YOU WANT, then decide on the best way

Yes, Google for this type of thing can be less than useless, lol, because "Ranger" is not specific enough
Boots on the ground, and see whats available locally is the best way, in my opinion
San Antonio is 4 hours away but may have more options or better pricing
