Howdy from the front range of Colorado

Hello folks, I have been lurking a bit for the last week or so and figured I should go ahead and register and introduce myself as well as my new to me project.

My ranger is a 99 step side 4X4 model with an auto trans. Don't know much more but it was to good a deal to think over when it was offered to me.

Free

Of course there is the fact that it has been wrecked

You see, the bosses kid wrecked it and the boss was not thrilled, he left it parked in the lot at work for few months. He knows I have several projects and have restomod'd several old cars and trucks, and that I was "kinda looking" for a small truck for my sons to run around in that would not be costing me an arm and a leg (sons are 18 & 20, senior in HS and sophomore in college and drive a 74 bronco and 2001 dodge cummins respectively)

So after learning that the cost to have a shop do the repairs is higher than the value of the truck, and someone decided to toss a chunk of parking block through the window to gain access and steal the stereo... he asked if I wanted it for hauling it off. Of course I said sure

So yesterday I loaded it up and hauled it home. But the weather was rather crappy, therefore no work was done. What I do know, the right front steering knuckle is broken, bumper, fender, grill, tie rod, radiator, drivers side window and stereo, trans cooler.... And I will probably have to pull the core support a bit though it is not real bad. I think the frame is good

So right off, demo will start this week, then sourcing parts and reassembly.

I will be looking forward to getting to know you all and learning from you as well, and please feel free to give advice anytime. I have had a ranger from work but since it was not mine all I did was add gas and drive it. I really don't know much about it yet.

Thanks

I thought I attached 4 photos but the only one that made it is the one that shows little more than the cruddy weather yesterday. I will have to figure out how to post some more.....

Ok. So now I added the rest of the pics but only have one again, and the lousy weather shot isn't it. How does one post multiple pics in a single post?
