Bigdog Checking In
Hello everyone. Bigdog checking in from Wichita Kansas. Found this site after getting recommended by my son, soccerjohn. Nice to see some familiar faces from the old GBO site.
For those that don't know me, I currently own a 2005 Ford Ranger FX4. Color is silver. Currently adding the Explorer OHC mod, the Mustang Dome Lamp mod and the Courtesy Lamp Third Brakelamp mod to my truck. Hope to be finished this weekend.
My Ranger history began in 1984 when I purchased a new 1984 Ranger XLT 4X4. Added lots of mods to that truck before I had to upgrade to larger F-150 Supercab. Next Ranger encounter was a new 1998 Ranger XLT 4 door Supercab that I purchased in July of 1998. Picked up my current Ranger in December of 2005. Bought it used with 5K miles on it.
Still have my 1939 Ford Tudor Sedan sitting in about a thousand pieces in the garage. Maybe one of these days I'll stay home long enough to get back to work on it. FWIW, it is powered by a 1993 5.0L V-8, C-4 automatic, 4 wheel disc brakes and a 9 inch Ford rear end. Chassis is complete except for running fuel lines and emergency brake cables. Still considering swapping the C-4 for an AOD for better cruising economy. Lots of body work still awaits.
Spent my TDY bonuses in April of this year. Purchased a 2001 Ford Mustang GT Bullitt. Car has 26K miles on it. It is one of 5600 Bullitts manufactured in 2001 and is one of 723 in True Blue color. Flew to Chicago and drove it home.
Hope I can contribute with some of my experiences, there have been a few over the past 50 years. Plus there is still so much to learn from you guys.
Jerry
