Thinking of fixing up my old Ranger

I have a '92 extended cab STX which I've owned since '94. I had so much trouble with it in the beginning I never believed it would last this long but I fixed this and that along the way and here we are 15 years later. The last few years I haven't driven it much and it's gone downhill a little bit but now I'm thinking of fixing it up. Hopefully you fellers will come along for the ride, so to speak. haha!

At this point I want to bring it back to a daily driver and then maybe I'll go a few steps beyond. It has been an aggravating truck in certain ways, the transmission has never been quite right. It went out shortly after I bought it and it was replaced under warranty but the 2nd transmission has always shifted hard. The slave cylinder was replaced once but it didn't seem to last long (mileage-wise). I really need it done again. The clutch is way too stiff.

I need to replace the headliner and rear window. The driver seat has a broken roller and won't slide rearward without some fiddling. The tailgate has rusted out. Got a few rust spots on the hood that need to be repaired, from an ill fitting bug shield that came on the truck and rubbed the paint off. The whole truck needs to be buffed out (at a minimum).

The interior looks pretty clean.

Good luck with the restore.

Yeah, the interiors isn't bad at all except for the headliner. I got a leak a while back and some mold grew in there.
