Laptops galore! - OR
Looking to get rid of a few projects and some great working laptops. Really looking to get one new laptop and simplify things.
First laptop is a HP dv1000. $120 obo
1.43Ghz Celeron M Processor
60GB hdd
Wifi B/G
14.1" LCD display
Upgraded to 2GB ram to run Win7
4 NEW batteries (Ordered the right ones, but was sent the wrong one 3 times. All fit the dv1000, I was really after the extended one but it was never shipped)
AC Charger
Will install a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate before sale.
Next computer I have is a HP dv6000. It's currently in parts. I have 2 MoBo's for it, 3 keyboards (Was in the process of doing a backlit keyboard on it for fun, but ran out of time), 2 sound bars and 2 lower parts of the casing.
$150 obo
Everything is there to get it up and running, I just don't have the time, and know there's some techy's out there that wouldn't mind taking on the duty of putting it back together.
2.00Ghz AMD x2 Processor
120GB HDD
Wifi B/G
2GB Ram (I believe)
15.6" LCD screen
2 BATTERIES (New)
AC Charger
Next Computer is a A1278 Macbook 13" Unibody, 2009 Model. Only problem with this was it got wet and the logic board went out. Everything else has been tested and is working. There's a guy and his company on eBay advertising a repair on this computer is $199 and 95% (I believe) successful repair rate for this problem. Or a new logic board can be anywhere from $200-600. Also needs a new battery to be portable, but those are about $60-80 on eBay as well.
$300 obo
2.00Ghz processor
240GB Hdd
Wireless internet A/B/G/N
13" LED screen
2GB Ram
Snow leopard (I can't remember if that's the newest one or not) installed.
AC Charger
Last laptop I have is the one I use daily. HP ZD8000 CTO notetbook. Bought new in 2005, was top of the line, and still performs just was well as most of the new computers do!
$200 obo
17" Widescreen LCD
Built-in bluetooth with wifi B/G
80GB HDD
2GB Ram
3.00Ghz P4 Processor with Hyper Threading
256MB ATi Dedicated graphics card
DVD-RW/DL drive
New battery and AC Charger
Will install a fresh Copy of Windows 7 Ultimate upon sale

New logic board is 400ish and battery is 60-80ish, the logic board may be able to be repaired for cheaper though.

Trent thanks for that input... The logic board on the mac can be repaired for $199 on eBay with a turn around time with the laptop of 10 days max... I would love to do that, but I just don't have that kind of time anymore to deal with it. Everything else on the computer has been tested and work, minus the battery and the logic board. As Trent said, it can be anywhere from $250-$600... and between $40-$80 for a new battery to make it portable, otherwise it works well as a desktop.
As an UPDATE though, the dv1000 and the dv6000 are both sold. Got $200 out of the two together, and now I'm looking sell the zd8000 and the macbook. If someone wanted both, I would do them both for $450 +shipping (most likely $15-20).
PM me or shoot me a message on Facebook, I'm on FB a lot more throughout the day while I'm at work.

Reason to tear down was to install backlit keyboard on a non backlit keyboard supported mobo... I don't have the time anymore. But I sold that tonight for $100 and the DV1000 is also sold as of tonight for $100...
The only two I have are the 2009 Macbook and the 2005 ZD8000 CTO laptop.

zd8000 is basically sold, waiting on stuff on my end but it's got a buyer.
The a1278 is still for sale.
Grant brought up a point about the battery.... The logic board won't do anything with the battery if the board is bad, so in all reality the battery may still be good. One thing to note about the eBay guy that fixes the comps, he has a sucess rate of over 90% and if he can't fix it, he ships it back to you with a full refund. So this way guys, no need to worry about taking a gamble.

zd8000 is being reformatted tonight and Win7 ultimate and Symantec EndPoint Protection and AV is being installed for Andrew C..
Andrew H, I still have it... I'm thinking about keeping it now and giving it to the gf it's it's repairable to let her use something nice, computer wise... That and she loves Mac's... And her iP4

That's why I spend so much money on computers when I buy them. They last a lot longer in the long run because you only have to upgrade small parts here and there as things get cheaper, like RAM and HDD space... My new computer was $1,400 with the MS wireless desktop 3000. It's a DV7-4190us... The Zd8000 was the same, I spent $1,800 on it after upgrading the Ram back in the day and it was top of the line... Lasted me 5 years and would continue to last longer, but now that I'm making money it's time to upgrade my stuff and help others out in the mean time!
