I was rereading the posts, And optical, If I stick with an IDI Diesel I don't have to switch the tanks and the plumbing? Was I reading that right? So would all I need then is the engine wiring harness? What about the tranny, Would the 86 460 tranny(I think it's a C-6) work with a 7.3 IDI? I can call My old ford dealer and see what a new Crate motor costs (they make reman 7.3 and 6.9 IDI Diesel engines still at least they did in 04 when I left), with my Employee discount. Maybe I can even snag a new wiring harness!
