Flareside bed tweak...
So i have been going over how i can cover my tires decently after the FW axle swap and i have thought of a few things. I have been looking at my flareside lately and i was thinking that i could possibly move the bedsides out to match the width of the cab. it would give me almost 4-5"+ on each side probably and i wouldnt have to add flares(cause i hate flares on SS's). what do you think? i was going to take a bedside off and see what it looks like one of these days.. hers a somple pic of what im talkn about.
moving the bedside out to match the cab lines. and at the bottom i would shave off the step and add in a piece that matched the lines.
i would need to fab up brackets, but that would be simple enough. also i would have to see how close a regular tailgate comes to working after it. ori would just make some extensions on the side of mine(nicely done though)
And for the front i think i will have to go with a really wide fiberglass fender, with a wide coverage 4"+. even though im not a fan of the hieght it adds too

you could use the 8.8 if all you care about is having an axle swap in there. but it seems counter productive to do all that work for a solid front when you could buy a kit that does the same job in a nicee neat little engineered package...

its from a 70's 80's quadravan i guess lol.. LP 44 and 60. got them for nothing.
well i want to get lift to clea 37's no bigger. as low as i can go. and ifi stay close to ranger width i will have no worries and can get flares or somthn. 1-3" sticking out isnt bad here. but with FW a tire out would be perty sketchy.

flex for what? strength for what? I mean dont get me wrong, it would be sick, but you have to keep the wheels inside the wells youre gonna have a tall tippy **** if you swap it I am sure. If I didnt blow CVs within days of getting new ones time and time again, I wouldnt really worry about it...

its all good dude, I aint insulting you, I know you like the be heavy on the skinny and now you have a v8 I was just saying.
with that being said, wheels can be a lifesaver. get as much as you can towards positive offset and you can battle the FW problem.so you gain 4 ish inches on each side, get a wheel that only puts you out 1-2 inches throw flares on and call it good!
