cranking my t bars

cranking my t bars

hey yall i just picked up a new to me ranger its a 2003 xlt 4x4 the front end stoops bad and is really soft it only has 39k miles with one owner (a 72 yr old man) so im guessing maybe if i crank my t bars about an inch i should solve both problems any advice would be greatthis is my 4th ranger but first with the t bar setup

i did it on my ranger, it did lift the front up and it made it more stiffer too just make sure if you turn on side 4times to turn the other side 4times too,also there is a thread on here how to do it

yea cranking your bars would make the ride more rough and would lift up the front as well

ok well i have a question, if you crank your t-bars to the max is it gonna make a saggin look in the back?

god well that sucks i was hoping for it to be about same height all around, how much of a sag am i gonna be looking at is it gonna be notciable? i planned on max t bar crank and 33's but i dont want a saggin rear end, nobody likes a flabby ***!

well im gonna go with almost max t bar, and do some 33 bfg AT

i dont think so, and if it does ill just lift the rear a little to even it out

it depends on how much you lift it, that will be your determining factor of if youll sag in the back. mine are just cranked pretty much all the way.

well i plan on preety much maxing mine out also, thats why i was asking how bad its gonna sag, and how do you level it in the back?

also looking for the cranking t-bar thread how to and cant find it.... maybe search doesnt like me!

aal= add a leaf, and the chevy shackles i believe are meant to lower a full size chevy truck but used on our trucks lifts them, dont quote me on that though lol and i cant find a thread right now either but its a bolt that is under your cab that is vertical and all you have to do is tighten it. the bolt is located when the t-bars connect to the brackets right under your doors basically

Jeremy thanks for the info i guess iw ill just have to see what happens last thing i want to do is crank my t bars to the mas and have it look like a flabby *** in the back just so i can put 33's on it.

no prob at all. as far as the shackles you can buy them from any parts store, they arnt just for chevys, but you can install them to lift or lower the rear.

mine are maxed and you can't tell the difference really but i know the front is a bit higher lol

ok so the trucks in the air passenger i did 4 turns first rotation was rough but then got easier my driver side im putting all my strength in and can barely get it to turn the truck has never been in mud or anything its all clean and lubed [wd-40] up is this normal i dont wanna f the bolt up

yeah my drivers side was a pain in the ***. i just used pb blaster and let it sit for a while and eventually it broke loose.

ok cranked each side 6.5 turns i like it rides like a truck should and doesnt stoop thanks yall def. recomend it to anyone thats been thinkin bout doin it my cv axles arent even that bad an angle
