First thanks for your service… I know it is not easy being away from friends and family and to be in a WAR ZONE isn’t easy too. (2 years Nam)

Thank you for keeping it possible to have what we have…

Current Mods:

Air Box Mod with K&N filter - OEM is good for stock eninge /exhaus; not always needed but if you do some exhaust work, i.e. Free flowing pipes and muffler and HEADERS, it will help then.
Sniper Custom Tune - If other mods are done then you will see more increases from a TUNE
Syn Fluids Engine, Ft-Rr Diff, Trans, and T-Case - Synthetic Fluids are good, I use Engine oil now and will be changing over to the other as soon as the next change comes about.
Flowmaster Muffler/Removed Cat - Always good to have a nice sounding exhaust and with other mods will work well. Take some time and listen to other exhaust systems for their sound before committing to FM. There are postings on this site of guys that have used other systems and videos so you can hear a Ranger.
Cranked T-Bars - ride will $uck but if you can’t do a complete lift then do what you can. Look into doing a SuperLift or other pkg lift first.
Rancho Shocks - Depending on what you wnd up doing with the lift will determine what you do for shocks. If your are OK and you only do the T-Bar Crank then stick with what you have until they go bad. there are plenty of manufacturers out there so sit tight until you need them for sure. I put in the SL Lift with Coil-Over Setup in the front… SL Shock didn’t work for me and I am getting the adjustable Rancho Shocks for the rear.
HD Leaf Springs - I installed a 4-5” SL Kit and used the FR36 Rear Leaf Spring from SkyJacker, their Softride Units. I wanted to eliminate the rear blocks and these spring did but the ride isn’t right yet, I am hoping for the new shock to help out!
PowerTrax Front and True-Trac Rear Locker - Fine a 31 Spine Explorer Rear end with disc brakes, do some minor mods and install it,,, depending on the tire size change the gears, gears are necessary if you want to enjoy the overall driving experience. Don’t go locker in front unless it is a switchable unit or the truck is only for off-road use then a good spool will work. Switchable unit are way more expensive but really nice if the $$$ is there. If this truck is a DD then conside good quality Limited slip and the Explorer from a Mazda or Ex Sport wil have a limited slip already in it, maybe all Explorers will got me on that one. Good LImited Slip Units wil work great on the street and good in the woodds, yes the locker will work better off-road your call. Lockers can cause some interesting driving experiences on the street and in wet conditions so be careful IF you go that route.
Spray in Bedliner - A must do both for looks and durability. I went Line-X, Good Job, fades out to a really dull blk and already (less then two years) has a tear in it, need to get it looked at. Make sure you investigate the people doing the work FIRST, not after the fact, $ucks trying to get it fixed if not done right.
Fog Light Mod - Mine is an 03 EDGE and the FOg are on only when the lows are on, I like it like this, I do run 100W highs so that could be why I don’t need then on high and I find I run in lows w/fogs most of the time, looks… There is a write up on the site to have Fogs and Highs on at the same time, in fat there are write ups fpr almost anything you want in the How-To Section.
5% and 15% Window Tint - IMHO… it looks good, I thought about it but no go… I have seen a lot of vehicles [ull over by the State PD in MA with Tinted Windows, so thing about it before doing it.
Viper Alarm - If you need it I have heard Viper is good...

Planned Mods

LT265/75/R16 or 32x12.5R15 Goodyear Dura-Tech - With T-Bars then this may be OK w/SL Lift then 33x12.5s will be nice.
Procomp Series 52 (15in or 16in) with Ranger Center Caps
Balancing Beads Dyna Beads 5oz Off Road
Powertrax Trac-Lock Rear
Aussie Locker Front
Fab Kc Light Bracket
Rear Marker Lights
Trailer Hitch
Fab Tie down Points in Bed
Fab Rear Tow Hooks
Hurst Shifter - Great add-on and I chgd up the Shift Handle to a longer and bent in toward the driver more, everyone to their own. Can’t tell you how great the shifting is with the new shifter, feels good. You will need to insult around the shifter and the floor pan to keep the noise out.
Reundercoat/POR15 Frame and Suspension - IMHO… not worth it, too much work for minimum results.
Plugs/ Wires
Black Out Headlight and Marker Lights - Nice look especially on a great looking blk Ranger.
Autoloc Switchless Power Locks
Homemade Electric Fan Kit, Taurus? - I don’t like them UNLESS you need them… too much noise possible in my Amateru Radios and CB.
Heated Seats - this is an easy mod in a Ranger, covers sort of roll off, heaters stick on and covers roll on. Wiring is strainght forward

I cant make up my mind if I want to run 265's or 32’s. - ]33’s if possible but metric sizes tend to be called LTs or light trucks tire and can run a little heavier and ride harder, need to watch it there.
Also don't know what the difference is if I buy 7in or 8in wide wheels - Depending on the tire width, 10.5 run 7”, 12.5 run 8”, just me on rim width, I like a rounded looking tire not a stretched out sideways tires.
I'm still on the fence about running a front locker.
Thinking about Prerunner Style Lower Valance and Skid Plate
I cant find enough info on getting parts for the Taurus Electric Fan setup. - check out the How-To Section
Sorry for the length… no short way to say things about Rangers… hurry back and jeep your head down.

GOD Speed.
