I am trying to get more detail on these. I know the UK Ranger is a newer design than the South American (Brazil) Ranger. Problem is UK vehicles have always been expensive and with the low value of the US dollar, that is out of the question, even though it is definitely the nicer truck.
The South American Ranger is still available with the 3.0L Diesel (Powerstroke) engine. I just need a contact at a dealer down there to get a price in US dollars for one. Then get a shipping quote. I will be in touch with the Secretar of State to determine what would need to be done to get plates on one. Long shot, but I would love it!

I'm a huge fan of diesel powered cars. But unless your talking about a vehicle that gets poor milage or has a motor that's being pushed really hard, it's just not worth the added cost.
It's all about efficiency. Diesel has it.. but the higher costs tend to even out the gains for just moving 1 to 4 people around in a car/truck.
