Cherry bombs for exhaust tips?

I get tired of the drone I get with my cat-back duals. Was thinking about cutting off my SS tips and slapping on a couple of glass pack mufflers back there. Any thoughts?

While I don't think it would look bad to have a couple of red cherry bombs sticking out the *** end, I'm not sure it would help much with the drone problem, since they're little more than a straight pipe...or would they?

I have a Gibson cat-back dual system. Sounds great at start up, idle, and WOT. Just seems to resonate with strong drone at part throttle acceleration.... it's getting old quickly.

Are your tips all the way out the back or how is your exhaust set up?

just cut your exhaust off alltogether right after the headers....that will get rid of the drone.

But seriously try a flowmaster. I had one and it didnt drone too bad, only a little at highway speeds. I have a super 44 dumped now and its not soo bad

I guess the drone wouldn't be so bad....it's just that it seems to peak right at the speed I need to be going, or I have to accelerate right when the wife is saying something...hey wait a minute :)

i agree with the magnaflow, im glad i got it, it has a great tone when cruising, not to loud or over powering, but when you put the power and torque through it it sounds awesome

I used the magnaflow 18" long with 2 1/4" from the cat back. Real nice tone, makes noise when you want it to but nothing crazy while cruising

Definitely the magnaflow, I was looking for something with good tone and no drone and that is exactly what I got with my magnaflow.
