Everyone: Bodylift or not?
#1
Well....the modding bug has hit me and i need something new on my truck. Since i have always wanted a lift i think i might just go ahead and get a bodylift. The suspension lifts are way too expensive and the bl and the gap guards would only be $289.00
Also....i have 32" BFG Mud Terrains and i want to know if its going to look stupid afterwards. I dont want the tires to look too small....
Alrighty tell me what ya'll think...Bodylift...or leave your truck how it is....

just save save save... it would be better to save and get the superlift, later... your truck looks great, now... how about you get some new edge stickers, a ranger-forums sticker, and maybe you could try and get ahold of some yellow or black ford emblems... i think that would be good for your truck...
oh, and take that manik sticker off your grille guard
you could maybe look into getting new wheels, as a mod... it will give your truck a much better stance and make those tires look bigger if they were on some 15x8's(16x8's) with a good offset...

Kasey, do your tires rub at all?
Have you been bottoming out while off roading?
If not, leave it as it is - YOUR TRUCK LOOKS GREAT!
Body lifts do more harm than good.
If you are dead set on lifting it save up for a suspension lift, and be prepared to get bigger tires also.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised at the responses.... a lot of people are just so pro-body lift... personally, I would never put a body lift on my truck. I don't like how you have to relocate the bumpers (weakening them) or have big ugly gaps, and seeing so much frame. If it's just for looks, I don't really think it helps much...
I think your truck looks awesome as it is, Kasey. b :D d

I plan to body lify my truck after the first of the year, and go to some 17's with a 285/70/17 tires. The lift I want is the RCD lift, but it is only in the $2k-$3k range. I am mostley gonna do it for looks, and not for performance, since my truck never goes off-road, and I drive a whoping 14 miles each day. That is all based on if my truck starts again

Christian: haha i took that ugly sticker off of my grill guard i just need to take some new pictures :D
John: That exactly why i dont want a suspension lift. :( tooo much money. I just got there tires and they were like 789 bucks so i think it would look nice with a 3" lift. There is no way i can get that much money for that lift and turn around and have to get 33"s....but...i dont know...
For everyone else, thanks for all of the comments. I want my truck to be big. Thats what i have always wanted and i think it would look kinda cool with a body lift. I know all the gaps and stuff stuck but isnt that what gap guards are for? I really dont go off-roading because of what happened to me a few months back so i just kinda want it for looks. But thanks for the comments anyways..

bl's aren't that bad...there good because they serve a purpose and are a good price....even with superlift kit your front end flex sucks...
brushguard relocation brackets can be made...i can get pics this weekend.....really if done right bls aren't that noticeable...
your sidesteps will help a lot

i like bodylifts, for the price they are great, get some gap guards and you wont see the gaps. your ground clearance is only as high as your axles anyway. i was going to body lift my truck definately, and i will probably lift my wifes 04 ranger. i also know that ryan and joe have body lifted theirs and they love it.
