Switching Front Valences

During the summer I decided to paint my front valence and rear bumper pad. After having a slight accident about a month ago, the paint on the front plastic valence will not stop chipping. I have tried painting it over and over and it still precedes to chip every time I wash it.

My question is, can I take a 2001-2003 Edge front valence with fog light mounts and use it since the Edge valences are actually made to take paint? Then I will prime it well and paint it up the way I want it and bolt it up.

Or will an Edge valence even work?

Yes, prep is just as important as paint. Some valence are textured, some are smooth. Smooth are the paintable ones.

Ok man cool. I was worried that an Edge valence was shaped different and wouldn't fit my XLT 4x4 front bumper.

Dang, that sounds legit. I wonder if the 04 valence will fit my 01-03 bumper?
