What about using the stock mirrors, painting the base the red color, and on the mirror housing, have it painted simulated carbon fiber like they did on Rides with the Expo for Titus.

I personally would use the factory ones. I have never liked the look of the SS or M3 mirrors. It should be pretty easy to find the mirrors you need on eBay or at a junkyard.

aftermath of Charley

Yeah, I like sticking to my roots, so to speak.

The CF thing was a wreck on the SS ones, so I'm going to play around with the factory mirrors for a change.

I am coming home...

I would paint the factory ones (make sure the paint shop or you do wetsanding) OR

SS mirrors. The M3s are VERY tiny FYI, so I wouldn't go with those either.

Please DON'T do carbon fiber (or paint looking carbon fiber) your truck looks too nice to "rice it out" with a couple of messed up CF mirrors

Hey I have a set of M3 mirrors that you can have REAL cheap. I'll be honest with you, they looked good but I took them off because the mirror itself was too damn small. It might not bother some folks but I couldn't accept the huge increase in blind spot. Still, they're just sitting on my shelf, you can have them for next to nothing plus shipping.

Wowak, thanks for the offer :). I'm probably going to do painted stockers...I'm like you, the blind spot thing is just too much with those.

I think the painted stock ones will look really good, because I'm going for a "stock" look with this thing anyway, and SS ones are just too common. I love them, but they won't flow with this theme very well.

And here's an XP8....
