I can vouch for Tommy's mod, on the highway, instead of the regular 120 degree heat the engine sucks in, his sucks in about 70 degree, its awesome...

How did you measure the intake air temperature?

I think it was a legit question.

I've done the same testing on several vehicles and noticed some are better than others from the factory.

So what were your results from before and after as far as intake temperature goes? What changes were there in MAF voltage from before and after? How much more horsepower do you calculate you made with the drop in air temperature?

If you want a cheap air intake temp gauge, get a battery powered thermometer and route it to the air intake tube. Do you have a problem with pulling in water if you are running that intake setup? The reason I ask is because we are expecting a nice healthy pounding of snow and don't wanna pack my intake with snow.

Ahh that sounds like a good idea. I know a buddy of mine had an intake like this and it almost sucked the wet filter into the intake.

There is another type a intake how to on TRS. You take a dryer vent and route it from the cowl on the passenger side to the the airbox behind the fender...make sense? Yeah I didn't think so.. Clickety click
