New idea to me !

I was thinking about replacing my Sloted Aluminum Wheels with a full steel wheel, with moon/Ford Script and maybe trim rings, powder coated BLACK; kind of a old school look.

Talk to me, what do you think ?

Remember they WILL BE BLACK !

Show us a picture of your truck.

We need to see that to make a decision.

Lol.

I saw the yellow wheels and I said "PLEASE NO!"

Post up a Photoshop request to give you an idea how it will look.

On the right vehicle they look good but in my opinion it wouldn't look right on yours. Up to you though! I've seen them on HHRs and some other "retro" looking vehicles and it works!

IMO, those would look like good on a lowered square body or even a lowered gen3 but not on a lifted truck.

If it's an older lowered street truck, then yes. But on your newer 4x4, I'm with the other stupids, it wouldn't look that good.

Yes, photoshopped would be good, thks.

I agree with all of you but I had to let the wife see the comments before she would believe me that they would be out of place on a lifted Ranger.

Thks for all of the comments.

I guess I could say that the Wife is good for more than holding a wrench or two but ya blame it on her then I don’t need to take too much heat.

The wheels are a repo of a 1942 Ford Truck Wheel, used on Cars with the trim rings.

YES ! It would be in black, some how I don’t think the yellow and E4-RED will work.

4 wheels, Ford Script Caps, Trim Rings, Lug/Stem Pkg and black powder coated shipped was going to be around $550.

I can replace the ones I have with 15” versions for around $150/ea plus shipping.

I had to justify the extra money.

thks

Not on your truck. If it were a lowered version of yours, YES....all day YES to the wheels. Heck even a yes to color matched. But a lifted "off-road" looking truck, just say no.

It seems like an expensive way to get black steel wheels anyway.

But on another note, I've been searching an hour for this red 67-68 Chevy stepside with yellow rallys I saw in a magazine probably 10 years ago....it looked good. But only came up with this:

lol.

Never YELLOW, but in black they might not look too bad.
My Jeep has 16 steelies in black on it with baby moons to cover the lugs, doesn’t look too bad.

Thks 98liftedranger for posting the pic.

Mcleary316, here is another:

When I saw the title of this thread, I was hoping that your new idea was going to be spelling out words fully instead of typing like a 14 year old texting on a nokia from 2004
