no lift, 35's

i think you all missed what i said. i only have one corner done. i'm waiting for some parts, and some more time to work on it. when i have all 4 corners done and a few other things, i'll flex it out. as is it does not rub anywhere full lock to full lock.
once again i'm not done working on it.
you guys (most of you) should try to be a little more positive, just because you think it looks bad, or think its a bad idea doesn't mean it actually is. give stuff a chance.
the truck is at my friend's house about 45min from me, so it makes it hard to work on. i'll get to it, i'll post some more pictures the next time i'm out there. i also don't have tires or wheels, the one i have on in the pic is another friend's.

I have a 93 Ranger 4wd and I had 35's with a 5.5" superlift suspension lift...they rubbed. I added a 3" BL and no rub, so it has a total of 8.5" of lift to achieve no rubbing with 35's. The time and effort of you hacking a fine truck to all hell could have gone into saving for both a BL and SL. The suspension lifts are not that high for a 93-97 Ranger, if nothing else you can get the cheapest lift that comes with drop down brackets for everything for around $500. Then add all the good **** later on, ext. radius arms...etc
To all the others, his truck is NOT a 98+, so 35's do not fit the same. Its your truck so I dont really care what you do to it, I just dont see the point in all of it just so you can fit 35's. And a BL for a 93-97 ranger is 90 bucks...35 bucks extra if you have a 5spd.
I think this look w/35's is a lot better (Yes, whoring my own truck)...

I love the thought of it; low c of g, higher ground clearance, meaty tires. I will have to wait to see the functionality though, if the suspension can't work it seems about useless then.
I'd say forget the big wide tires and find some pizza cutters, maybe Cooper's or if your brave some of those narrow Super Swampers(?). If the suspension can move, that would be a go anywhere rig. You may need to find some more horsepower somewhere too. Looking forward to see the progress.

What you've done is like asking for opinions on your new custom painjob when all you've done is primer the truck. Nobody know what it's going to look like, so nobody can say anything because it's not done.

im all about the low c.o.g.
but my **** is functional and theres absolutly no way this is any where close to being functional and work ok not only will it rub when flexed it will not turn unless it rubs
not to mention that front axle wont like those 35s for to long as soon as he does use it binds it up boom there goes the stub shaft
but hey what the fawk do i know i drive a toyota

This truck needs a BL defintely. Having a 4wd with 35's on stock suspension is as useless as a midget with DS. The slightest speed bump and you're looking to hit fender and inner fender if not bumper also.
I like the look man, but please, save yourself the time down the road in repairs and put a BL on it.
