new horn

Just a thought, what kinda trouble would I be getting myself into if I wanted to put an air horn in my 99? Such as price and fabrications. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot Stephen that link is really detailed. Gimmie a month or two and my truck will scream like there's no tomorrow. Two hundred dollars? No problem.

I've been thinking about doing the same to my truck. The horn lack the fury of its driver when it needs to be unleashed (all the times them asians try to move into my lane and almost side swype me)

if you get horns for $200 you're wasting your money. They won't sound good at all. The kit shown in the how-to is around $600.

Even easier way IF you can find them is 6v Kenworth horns. Run them at 12v and its incredible.

Also marine horns. Plenty loud and still only electric.

I wouldnt bother with Hella if your looking for a loud deep sound...I bought a Hella 3 trumpet kit...biggest waste of money and time, they sounded like a clown horn at the circus. Too high pitched and annoying IMHO.
